Caroline Waldegrave

Caroline Waldegrave is the co-owner and managing director of Leiths School of Food and Wine. The school has now been training professional and amateur chefs for 30 years. Past students have gone on to be chefs in Michelin starred restaurants, set up their own businesses, as well as working in the media and food development industries. Leiths now also teach a basic course in 12 schools across the country. The school is an independent company owned by Caroline and Sir Christopher Bland.  The school also owns Leiths List (an employment agency).  Caroline has written numerous cookery books.

Formerly a member of the Health Education Authority (1983-7), and ex-chair of the Guild of Food Writers, she is also a qualified instructor in wine. Caroline is now President of the Hospital Caterers Association and also on the Editorial Advisory Board, BBC Magazines Food Group. She was awarded an OBE for services to the catering industry in June 2002.She is the Chairman of the Kensington and Chelsea branch of Cruse. She lives in London and Somerset with her husband and their four children.
