Profile:

Beverley created Splat Cooking Parties in 2001 after her daughter requested a cooking party, a natural progression for someone who frequently has a kitchen full of children experimenting with food. In her spare time Beverley writes articles aimed at encouraging children to cook and giving adults the confidence to allow children to experiment with food and make a mess! Beverley also writes regular features for numerous parenting websites and magazines as well as making celebrity appearances on Food Uncut and various radio stations.

Married to Peter, Beverley has three children who are great taste testers and a dog called Jasper who'd love to be involved in taste tests - but isn't!

Achievements have included:

Running a Healthy Eating workshop for an entire school, a workshop at Hamleys for 100 children ranging from 18 months to 14 years old for launch of Starcooks Cookery Book for Dorling Kindersley and mostly bringing up three children who aren't afraid to experiment and try new foods.

Splat Cooking Parties has grown in the past 6 years from just Beverley to two full time employees, three part-timers and party organisers in 16 locations around the country.

Splat not only organise and run children's parties but offer seasonal workshops during school holidays encouraging children to explore food and have fun. Splat also run a number of After School Clubs.

Splat sell a wide-range of funky cooking equipment ranging from full cooking kits to cookie cutters, sprinkles, cake stands, aprons and more....
